Susan participated with the California State champ, Christine Vestfals, in a chili challenge on Friday. The live challenge was staged for the morning TV show “Good Day Sacramento.” The anchors were very diplomatic and spoke of the virtues of both chili entries. They loved them both and couldn’t pick a winner. The show was a very effective promotion for the cookoff. We spoke to many people who said they came to the cookoff because they saw the TV show.
A wonderful event and a great weekend. Thanks to Larry Pilmaier and all of the staff at Woodbridge for their hard work to make this a successful event. Also, Thanks to Alex, Arlindo, Carlos, and all of the California cooks for their help and friendship.
