I’ve heard from Jerome Lauderdale, Guest Services Manager at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Waco. He read in the CHN about this weekend's chili cook off at the Hog Creek Icehouse and wanted to see if he could help participants with a reasonable room rate. His property is located on I-35 near downtown and is a pretty easy drive out to the cookoff site. Their regular rates are about $69 plus tax but he would like to offer anyone that calls from the CCO a rate of $60 plus tax. This is much cheaper than a lot of places in the area. They offer free Wi-fi and wired access internet service as well as a deluxe continental breakfast. In addition, the winner's room will be comped and the runner-up's room will be discounted 50%. If you have any questions at all feel free to contact Jerome at Phone: (254) 752-1991 or Cell: (254) 366-9083.
