NEWS

Good morning from Englewood, Colorado. We’re headed to Cheyenne for a weekend of chili cookin’. Lots of big cookoffs this weekend. We wish best of luck to all.

RESULTS and UPCOMINGS

“We’re busy making preparations for the Sunday, July 4, cookoff at Becker Vineyards. We’ll feature great goodie bags with free wine tasting for the cooks, live music, and large crowds of public. Please bring throwdown to help us raise funds for our charity, Habitat For Humanity. This is a great cookoff for showmanship as there is a big audience for our antics. The public will purchase tasting kits which will include a ballot for them to vote for their favorite chili. A nice prize awaits the cook team that can accumulate the most votes. Becker Vineyards is a generous sponsor and an enthusiastic promoter of chili and CASI.

Please save up and bring giveaway chili if you can because we’ll be selling many tasting cups. If you don’t have any throwdown, please bring an extra pot. We’ll bring some chili for you to give away.

There’s no space for motorhomes but nearby accommodations include the Stonewall Motel 830-644-2661 and the Peachtree Country RV 877-379-4515. They are each approximately three miles from the winery.

The year, instead of meeting at the Fredericksburg Brewery, we will host a cooks’ party on Saturday evening at Becker Vineyards. The Tasting Room will be open after hours exclusively for cooks and cook teams. We will provide food and complimentary wine tasting.

. If you need further details, please call me at 512-567-2835. While you’re in the area, nearby Fredericksburg is a great attraction with lots of restaurants and shops.” Alan
