“The 9th Annual Red Hot & Wild Kokomo Chili Cook-Off will be held February 28th at the Kokomo Civic Center, located at 1500 N. Reed Rd in Kokomo, Indiana. Proceeds to benefit the Kokomo/Howard County Chamber of Commerce, a Division of the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance. Registration is at 8 AM, Cooks Mtg. @ 9 AM, with CASI turn in @ 1 PM. Police and Fire Class, Individual Class, and Junior Pepper Class (Cooks 6-17 yrs old, must be accompanied by an adult) plus, Show and Peoples Choice. “Don't forget about our Valentine CCO this weekend at Water Valley. We will be cooking both days (Sat & Sun). On Sat we will have Jackpot Beans at 12:00 ($5) and Chili at 2. Entry Fee $18. There will be a cake auction and a 50/50 pot. We will have a Potluck on Sat Night. We will have some Mexican food and lots of other dishes. Plan on eating with us. Sun CCO is for the Concho Valley Food Bank. Chili turn in will be at 12. Entry Fee $18 or 2 cans of food and $15.” (Janice Miller)
