“I just learned that Patti Cook's son, Miles, passed away late Saturday evening. Darrell said that several of you will remember him as he was very active in many junior cookoffs in the past. We will share details on the arrangements when we know more. Please keep Patti and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Patti Cook's son will be cremated but a viewing will be tomorrow night (Tues 4/7). The viewing will be at Restland in Dallas between 6:00 & 8:00 PM. The address is below with the the phone number.

“I have had some cooks say they are not able to get the H-E-B Tube meat at their local H-E-B. If you will let me know by Friday 4/10/09 that you need meat I will be happy to get it for you and bring it to Texas Ladies State. The cost is $2.88 per tube or $34.56 per case. “The Sons of the American Legion Post 208 have done a great job putting the Easter Fest Cookoff together. The cookoff is this weekend at Flat Rock Lake Park in Kerrville, TX. They will be hosting a cook’s party Friday evening up above the park at Freedom Hall. Cooks may start arriving Friday morning. Lots of fun for the whole family, so come on out and join us!
