“NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION. CASI BYLAW 5.07(b) states: If a vacancy occurs in an unexpired (Director’s) term with more than one year remaining in that term, the President shall call for a special election to fill the unexpired term. The election shall be held within sixty (60) days from the time the vacancy was created.

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, July 1, a special election will be held for the purpose of electing a Director to the unexpired term of Dorathy Williams. Said term expires in 2011.

All current Great Peppers and Board members will be authorized to participate in said election which will be conducted by mail ballot, said ballot to be returned to the CASI Executive Director by return mail with a U.S. postmark no later than July 10, 2009.” Renee Moore, CASI President

“Attention JUNIORS. Bring you pets, parents, and cookin’ stuff and enter the Dawg Daze of Summer Sooner CCO at Gander Mountain in Corsicana on May 30th. First Place Junior will get a Wendell Rankin painted cook stove. Junior chili turns in at 1pm. Oh, and tell your parents they can cook too – CASI chili turns in at 1pm; 50/50 beans at noon. Bring your cute and talented Chili Dawgs and enter the pet contest at 10am; $5 entry fee per pet for one or all categories: Smallest, Biggest, Best Trick, Best Dressed, and Pet/Owner LookAlike. Bill and Star from CBS’s reality hit “Greatest American Dog” will perform. There will be demonstrations throughout the day of agility and obedience by Star and her companions Maggie and Lucille. Raffle for big screen TV, gift cards, digital camera, and more. All proceeds go to the Humane Society of Navarro County.
