RESULTS and UPCOMINGS

“I met with the marketing representative from Lone Star Park, Kim Bordano, to review the upcoming cookoff on May 8th. They will have a special area fenced in for us to cook and do show. This area is paved, and they will provide all canopies, for a uniform look. We will have to unload cooking equipment at the cooking area and move the vehicles to the closest parking area, which is normally a reserved area, then bring vehicles back probably two at a time to load back up when announcements have been made. You do not have to wait until 6:45 to load back as was previously announced. The reason for the late loading was they will name a race after CASI and had scheduled it for one of the later races in the day. They have moved it to the 6th race, and want the top ten finishers and top 3 show teams to go to the winners circle after announcements to have their picture made with the winning horse and jockey. Lone Star Park is excited about this cookoff and will have plenty of activities, including a petting zoo & live bands beginning at 1:00.

Lone Star Park really wants to grow this event in future years and is very excited about it. Come on out Saturday May 8th for a great time. Please bring extra chili for public tasting.” Roger Foltz
