We're in Maryland this morning for a quick visit for my father's birthday. When we arrived, everyone was complaining about the heat (90 degrees). It felt cool to us.

RESULTS AND UPCOMINGS

"Don't forget the 33rd Annual Arlingua CCO held at the Arlington Elks Lodge this Sunday and Monday. There will be a cooks dinner Saturday night (burgers and dogs - side dishes appreciated). The main event is Sunday. Start with an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for $5 (thanks to the lodge Golf Committee), then cook your best pot of red and try your hand at a pot of white beans (dry from scratch only). Sunday night will have a band playing outside, then try for those points again on Monday for the Does CCO. The Lodge has an olympic-size swimming pool (fees waived for cooks) and an 18-hole par three golf course.
