“The TICC First Ever Almost Annual "Texas 42" Domino Tournament
When: November 2, 2010
Where: On the Judging Stage @ Rancho CASI
Time: About 6:00 PM
Entry Fee: $20.00 per team – (Entry money will be split between the cost of the prize dominos and the CASI National Scholarship fund.)
Prize: 2 sets of Commemorative TICC Dominos to the Champions
Entry limit: 16 teams [form your own team] – (Teams accepted in the order that they notify us.)
Find your best partner; get your team together; and then notify the “Texas 42” Domino organizing committee with your team and team member names. The earlier you let us know of your interest, the better your chances of getting into the 16 teams, and the better for us to do good planning.
If you want to be in the tournament but don’t have a partner, we will provide a list of “Interested Individuals” for you to contact and help you form your team.
Contact either Dave “Red Bean” Boone or Connie Collier to get on one of the lists.
Connie Collier will be handling the “Team List”.
Dave Boone will be keeping the “Interested Individuals List”.
We have made every effort to organize a tournament that will provide the best and fairest possible competition for all teams. We also want to give the tournament players the best opportunity to demonstrate their skills at evaluating the hands they draw, bidding those hands to their highest potential, and then playing those hands to achieve the bids.
Tournament will have two levels of competition:
Level One: The 16 teams divided into four groups of four teams. Each group will play a three game Round-Robin format with the other teams in the same group. A winning team from each group will advance to Level Two of the Tournament. Group assignment of each team will be by random draw.
Level Two: The 4 teams advancing from Level One will play a standard double-elimination format to determine the 2010 TICC “42” Champions.
(Special Note - If we have less than 16 teams enter, then adjustments to Level One will have to be made. Level two will always have 4 starting teams.)” Elton Homesley
