Update: We’ve been home for nearly 48 hours and haven’t seen our pigeon yet but we’re not concerned. As we were driving home, we got a call from a friend who shed some light on the situation.
Apparently, our neighbor found an injured pigeon while working in Corpus Christi. He took it in and cared for it, bringing it home to Johnson City on weekends. As it healed, he began to give it a little freedom and it visited neighboring houses.
We can’t wait to talk to our neighbor and get more news.

“Mild Bill’s Spices Company Announcement
On November 4th, Bill and Tamara Dees sold Mild Bill’s Spices, etc. to Gary and Kelly Brignon of Ennis, Texas. The new owners will take over operations in the fall of 2011. Until then, Tamara will continue to provide the same fresh spices as before.
There are no plans to change how the company will operate or what products will be carried. The website and company name will remain the same. When the move to Ennis is near, another announcement involving the timing and phone number changes will be made.
Bill and Tamara are so pleased to have Gary and Kelly take over the company. The Brignon’s will continue to provide the high level of quality and service that you have come to expect from Mild Bill’s. Chili cooks have always been the heart of this business and it will remain so. Thanks!” Tamara Dees
