We returned home from our 3850 mile journey late yesterday morning. It was a wonderful trip meeting new friends, visiting old friends, and sharing our chili and wine passions along the way. There were spectacular vistas and images that will stay with us forever. We’ve had the good fortune to travel through new areas twice this summer. I hope you all have the same opportunity sometime.

After celebrating and having a large time Saturday night, we moved slowly on Sunday. We stopped over on the way home in Ozona and gave ourselves a chance to decompress and start cleaning the dust off the interior of the motorhome.

Now comes the process of unpacking, doing the laundry, and giving Molly a bath so she looks like a black dog again. I hope all of you also had an uneventful and safe trip home.

Congratulations to our new chili champ, Tom Dozier, and all of the other winners.
