“I would like to thank everyone in my chili family for there prayers and card that were sent to me and my family during the loss of our mother. She was 84 and had lead a good life and a had not really been to sick until the last of May. I know that she is in a better place than we are. I not only loss my mother I also lost my best friend. I have a large family that is close and that will helps but, I will still need prayers to help me get through this. I also know that God will be with me. Thanks again.”” (Vickie Childers)

“Talked with Rita, Donn Shands had his surgery yesterday, no complications, and the prognosis is good for a full recovery. He should be home in a few days.” (Bob Horan)

RESULTS and UPCOMINGS

“Still looking for points? Need some excitement in your life? Come join Concho Valley Chili Pod and cook to raise money for MDA and St Jude. This is a 2 day CCO. The location is Ashley Furniture's parking lot in San Angelo, TX. Sunday, we will be cooking for the MDA Telethon. The telethon is being held at Ashley Furniture. You might even get the chance to be on TV. You can at least see what is going on with the telethon. Jackpot beans entry fee is $5 and turn in time is 1200 noon. Chili entry fee is $18 and turn in is 2:00 PM Monday we will be cooking to raise money for St Jude. Chili entry fee is $18 and turn in time is 1200 Noon. There will be a dessert auction following chili judging. Plenty of parking. It will be dry camping. The location is on Sunset Blvd which is just off of 306 and the Knickenbocker exit. Come join us.
