RESULTS and UPCOMINGS

“The Tennessee State Championship was a great success. Held at the Wilson County Fair, the cooks were entertained and catered to. The site has huge trees for the comfort of cooks and a covered pavilion with ceiling fans for the comfort of judges. For the second year in a row, Dick Wagner (Waggie T's Chili) from Arkansas has won the cookoff. That made Kristi Knight, who took second, the Tennessee State Champion. Roger Campbell was Second Place Tennessee, and Susie Shaw was Third Place Tennessee. All four got automatic sanctions and traveling money payable at Terlingua. Showmanship was won by Go Vols Chili, headed by Jim Kidwell of Lebanon, Tennessee. The fact that the fair held the Ice Cream Crank Off adjacent to our judging area didn't hurt either.
