NEWS

“Just got off the phone with Rita - Donn Shands is having surgery this afternoon. He has gall stones and one got logged and caused a very sever case of pancreatic. He is doing fine - in a lot of pain. Rita said he thanked everyone for their thoughts and NO CARDS. HEHE He is in Memorial Herman Sugar land.

Will keep you up to date as I find out anything more.” (Sherrie Davis)

“Just wanted to pass the word that I have survived this horrible knee replacement surgery......although there have been days and nights I wouldnt have bet on it.......those that have lived through this know the pain but then again maybe not as I am a WUS.....I am walking with and without the walker.....slowly but trying........Ed has been great taking care of me, guess this is where "In sickness and in Health" really come to play......I truly could not have gone through this without him.......Thank you for all the cards, the emails and the phone calls.......that for sure helps you get through whatever you are going through........and mine is minor compared to some of our friends. We will be at the Elks cookoff this Fri and Sat.” (Mayo Blair)

“On a very serious note.......please keep Charllie and Jo in your prayers......He is now at home with Hospice and Jo taking care of him round the clock. The last experimental treatments did not stop the growth of the tumor. We all know the outcome now and her life has been one of making sure he has whatever he wants and whenever he wants......She has been spending her time cooking his favorite meals and doing what they do best and that is just being together. His family from Florida has been to visit and her family is helping her as well. Some of his close friends have been to visit in last few weeks...... God Bless them both and keep them strong as they go through these trying times. We love them and want to keep them in our hearts and our daily prayers.......God Speed.” (Mayo Blair)
