NEWS

The process for seating all of the pods at the Great Peppers Meeting continues as we review and organize the information supplied on the pod’s annual reports. All of the reports and information are required to be complete one week from today to guarantee each pod’s delegate to be seated.

To date, we have received reports from forty-nine pods and twenty-nine have been cleared for seating. The other twenty are working to supply pod cookoff ads and to make sure their incoming officers and referees are paid CASI members for next year.

There are twenty pods that we have not heard from, so far. They are: Alpine Chili Society, Black Sheep of Texas Pod, Capital Pod, CASINOVA Pod, Chiliheads of Arizona, Chili Hawg Pod, Classic CASI, Cowtown Pod, Indiana Pepper Pod, Iowa Chili Pod, Keystone State Pod, La CASI Louisianne, MO-KAN Pod, Old Dominion Pod, Pacific Pod, Pod of the Pass, Thousand Trails-Whitney, Top of Texas, Virgin Pod, and the Yavapai Chili Society. If you are a member of one of these pods, you might want to check with your Great Pepper to see if you can help them complete their reports and get them in on time.

Sad news. Vickie Childers mother passed away yesterday morning. Services will be held on Friday (no time at this point). She is at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Amarillo. Mothers name: Rhelan Extosito If you’d like to send a card, Vickie Childers, 4300 Olsen, Amarillo, TX 79106. Please keep Vickie and her family in yoru thoughts and prayers.
