Looked like cold and rain when we pulled in the parking lot, turned out to be a chilly day, with no rain. They definitely drew a lot of attention to their cause and even had people lined up, wanting to be judges. All the ladies gathered at Blu's tent for a Tequila Rose toast after the Cook's meeting, in keeping with Ms. Suzie's tradition of the Rosebuds. We appreciate the cooks making the trip from the DFW area and from our distinguished state to the east, Louisiana. Thanks to Stan Moore and Wayne Thompson for a great cookoff.

There will be a big fundraiser for Bruce Young on Sat., Nov. 29. at the Half Moon Bar & Grill in Flint, Tx. Bruce is recovering from a punctured lung and pneumonia, having spent nearly 2 weeks in ICU. Major financial strain on an independant business owner who along with his wife Jan and more than several close friends formed the 2 time Champion Show team "Whatever Floats Your Boat." This is not a CASI sanctioned event, just a cookoff for chili, beans, wild game and wings while also raising money for another family with medical financial strains.
