“This Saturday (12/13/08) at the Blanco’s Cook-off for the Texas Open we will have a special guest at the cook-off - Stephanie, with Tequila Rose, will be coming to our cook-off. She is looking forward to coming to Houston and being a part of our Tequila Rose toasts with the Ladies. Please join me this Saturday, 12/13/08, at 10:00 a.m. at my campsite for some Tequila Rose so we can toast all the ladies for good luck, read a poem or two and take a quick picture. Who knows, we may get it on their website.
As you all know, Tequila Rose is now a sponsor of CASI so let’s all gather and show Stephanie that we have just as much fun at the smaller cook-offs as we do in Terlingua so please pass the word along to all the ladies as you see them this weekend.
If anyone has an extra bottle of Tequila Rose to bring it would be appreciated.” (Dana Plocheck)
RESULTS and UPCOMINGS
“The THC Pod Cookoff in Waring this past weekend was a huge success. We had 61 CASI cooks, 14 bean entries, and 12 green chili entries. The soup-off and decorating contest were enjoyed by everyone, too. We could not have asked for more perfect weather, and it was wonderful to see some new faces here for the first time. A big thank you to all the pod members who helped out with registration, selling raffle tickets, monitoring, beer running, tallying, etc. A special thank you to Jeannette Cardenas, our head judge.
